Many people don't realize what all is involved in changing video into a real movie. It takes a lot of work. A good movie has three steps; Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production.
Pre-Production involves planning out what will happen in advance. To do this many people use a script and a storyboard. A script is where everything that will happen is written down, what the people say, what they do, what the props are, etc. This can take a lot of thinking!! A storyboard is like a comic strip. You sketch out an image of what the video will be like one shot at a time. A shot would be each action that takes place in the film. Then once you have the script and storyboard you have to share it with the people in the movie and the people that run the camera and microphone. Another person has to get all the material (props) together so that you are ready.
Production is when you make the video. The actors say their lines and move according to the script and storyboard. This isn't easy and normally takes three or four times to get each shot right. The cameraman follows the directions on the script for zooming in and out and the direction the cameraman moves. The soundman records the sound and tries to cancel out unwanted sounds.
Post-production takes a lot of work. This week you learned how to do some post-production actions. Editing a film, putting together different cuts (edited video clips), adding titles and credits, adding a soundtrack and sound effects, exporting the video into a finished movie; these are all steps in post-production.
What did you think about the skills you worked on this week? We started off doing a very simple movie version. Most of the ones you are doing later will take ten or twenty times the editing and use more types of sound effects and music, plus people talking. Think about what that means in terms of your effort you will need to put into the video.

It was hard working on videos this week. I didnt like it at all. I dont want to do more stuff like this. Not 20 times more.
it was kind of hard because there are a lot of ways to add music and to cut out the blury parts of the video
i think it was hard but um i dont think i did thaT Good because i really didnt understand..or i really didnt follow dierections.
I thought the skills we worked on this week were kind of difficult.Some parts were easy thought
it was okay i just thought it would be diffrent but i didnt follow diritones very well
I though they wer a bit hard because it was the first time editing. At the same time it was easy because it was all about deleteing parts of the movie and the sounds and adding new to it.
On the ones that we would do later on I would have to put much more effort becuse it would be longer and a bit more harder at the same time.I would have an idea of wat to do so it will help me a bit.
It was difficult doing this movie production. I did not understand what to do next because I missed a day.
I think making a video is easy. Making a video and cutting out parts is easy.
i think it was easy .i think i could take all the bad tings out of the video by my self.
when making a movie it takes alot of thinking and alot of hard work because you have to make sure everything right.
I think it was pretty easy AFTER Mr.Geasland showed me how to do it like 10 times.:)But The next assignment we are going to be doing seems even harder. I'm going to have to put more effort in the next assignment....

Because its cool and because it fun i guess it was okay but i didnt really follow dircetions
i think the skills we practiced were easy so far i think it will be harder because there will be more skills to do
well that skills that we have done i think it was hard verry hard because the paper that you gave us it was verry difficult to read and you did not even listen to ys we kept on calling your name and you did not even came and so that made it harder so tghats why i didnt like this prject and later we are going to do more of this stuff and i think is going to be more difficult and you know what if you dont gives us a paper like those you gaves us is going to be easyer i think ***anyways*** i need to go and i just recomend you to not gives us those papers again and you will amke it more easy than the other project ok well thankyou and bye elva grimaldo
